Had the most awful experience

Had the most awful experience, owner was so rude to me regarding a few stains that had been left on my blouse-crazy behaviour, he was happy to let me pay and leave without even mentioning it…I had to ask repeatedly have the stains come out? To which he gave a very rude evasive answer…please avoid this place at ALL costs…I should have listened to a colleague of mine that took a very expensive jacket in that the guy ruined and then denied any wrongdoing and said that it had been brought in in that condition…many reviews have retold the same story…this guy is a con artist…I hope he gets shut down.

AVOID ITS A SCAM. THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR STUFF AND MAKE YOU PAY FOR IT.

Avoid this 'luxury' cleaning a total joke and rubbish of a service.
They will take your expensive item and wreck it beyond repair, then take it back for cleaning only to damage it further.
Promise to investigate but never responded after viewing photo evidence.
They will charge you for damaging your expensive stuff. There is no customer service, a bogus website, and no phone number.
It is a SCAM that was reported to relevant trading standards.

Damaged Jimmy choos

Damaged my Jimmy choos in February, in Lime Street. They are still “investigating” apparently, despite numerous chasers I’ve not heard from them! Im rather upset as I cannot buy these shoes anymore and a similar pair would cost £550 to replace them. Very frustrating they won’t respond to me and still have my damaged shoes! AVOID!!!!

Damaged Burberry Leather Belt Buckle and Unresponsive

I am giving 1 star for 2 reasons:
1. They damaged my Burberry trench coat belt buckle by ignoring to wrap it so that it’s not exposed to the chemicals even though I paid for the Specialised Burberry Cleaning.
2. They ignored my email and provided no response let alone solution or acknowledgment of damaging such an expensive piece.

Admits liability for loosing expensive clothing and then doesn't pay you

AVOID: We had used this place for years, until they recently “lost” a £380 dress. The owner said that the matter was being “dealt with directly by [him]”. One month after the dress was lost (and after countless shop visits, emails and calls), he promised the matter would be “resolved tomorrow by 5pm” if all negative online reviews were removed. He also threatened legal action for those reviews. So we removed the reviews. That was four weeks ago and he still hasn’t paid. So he was simply lying to get the review down and has not evidenced any progress. This guy and this shop is a complete mickey mouse outfit that is best avoided and will inevitably end up on a consumer watch TV show. We have complained to the Police and Trading Standards

Lied about zipper replacement

I went in to get a zipper replaced; instead of replacing the zipper, they jut put it back on the broken track, so it split again the next time I wore them. I went back to the shop and they lied and said that they had replaced the zipper, but that they would look into it. Two weeks later I had to chase them and they admitted that they couldn't source the zipper (i.e. there was no way they actually replaced it in the first instance). Eventually I was refunded and got another tailor to replace the zipper, but I really don't appreciate being lied to or the inconvenience.

WORST experience ever

WORST experience ever. took some items that were stained, they took 2 months to send them back with little to no change to the stains and NO UPDATe all these two months despite me calling several times and sending numerous emails to know what was happening and where my clothes were as they said their line isnt working. when i FINALLY GOT my items 1 of them was missing (thank god i kept track and took pictures of what i had sent) after countless calls and emails i got my shirt back and discovered they had CHANGED MY SLEEVES of my 300$ worth tshirt. they cut the original ones and replaced them with new ones of a different material and that dont have the original design that was on them. they didnt even ask for permission to do this or inform me or whatever. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE IVE ever gotten in my life. ABSOLUTE LAST TIME EVer. do not use.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. LIME STREET BRANCH

They have ruined my managers £190 tie, no apology or even admitted that it was their fault.

Then proceeds to continually say that this didn't happen in the dry cleansers as if my manager was lying and then swore at me so in future, if you want your items ruined and to be spoken to like dirt then use this company, if not... STAY AWAY.

I won't be using them again.

Using their services is like playing Russian Roulette. It can be great or it can be a total disaster. I've used them 4/5 times and once I sent them a gown I wore at a wedding and they returned it stinking of sweat as if it had only been pressed and not actually washed. When I complained, they offered to wash it again and I agreed. Except, it came back missing a very visible button from the back that I couldn't recover ever since, making the dress way less likely to be used again. A few weeks later, they sent me a coupon code for loyal clients so I decided to give them a second chance and send a duvet. However, the duvet alone didn't allow me to apply the coupon code and so I decided to send the duvet cover as well (which was white and clean). Few days later, I received back both the duvet and its cover, but this last one had two HUGE yellow stains on both sides. I tried reaching out for 3 days but be aware, they NEVER pick up the phone. I had to leave an angry voice mail and send over an email in order to get their attention. They did wash the duvet cover again free of charge and it's now back too white but it's safe to say, I won't be using them again.

Absolutely disgraceful

I could not believe what was given back to me after a laundry wash and fold. We dropped washing in to the Lime Street store and paid 40 pounds, not the price quoted online.
I opened the bag and my washing was literally still wet and completely crumpled. The was not a single items that seemed dry.
2 of my teeshirts have been shrunk and my knit does not seemed to be washed at all.
I want a refund and I am furious! My hotel room now looks like my very own laundry as all the items now have to dried and ironed.
I would rather wash my clothes in the Thames than use this dodgy company again.

Quick, efficient and professional

An A1 service I will definitely be using again. After a quick call, driver was at my door within 2 hours to collect my items.

Items came back looking prestige and clean and it was delivered to my doorstep. This company literally lives up to its name. I’d definitely recommend these people as they’re efficient, Quick and very professional.

I have always received GREAT service…

I have always received GREAT service here. Cleaning is preffesional and alterations are affordable too.
I make an effort to come here rather than others which are closer. Cleaning is a luxury which I use sparingly. I am always greeted with a smile. What more could you ask for?

Not happy with the cleaning or Customer Service, not luxury for sure!

Not happy with the service they provide, at one instance they delivered my clothes outside the requested time so they hung them on my flat door hanlde and the last time they did not clean one of my coats and refused to give me a refund as they told me I should have mentioned to them there was a stain if I wanted that cleaned (which I haven't noticed when I sent them the coat).

I have started using Luxury Dry Cleaners last year and I have put in total 5 big orders via their online system. I was looking for dry cleaners that will take care of my items as many of my clothes are expensive and made from delicate fabrics.

The bigger issue was with my last order. One of the coats I have sent them had a stain which was not cleaned. I took a picture and sent them an email straight away asking for a refund for the coat cleaning. I was v upset as I was travelling and wanted to take the coat with me. Had no reply for a month. Then I contacted them via the website. No reply again. This morning I found some time and used the chat from the website again. Someone replied. I explained to them that the coat had a stain from a pencil and it was not cleaned. The reply was it is the responsibility of the customer to tell them of any stains, if the customer does not request for the stains to be cleaned then they will not clean it. Support said that they are worried they might destroy the clothes if they treat a stain they dont know where it came from so they dont clean stains that the customer does not tell them to anymore. I asked them why didn't they call me to ask me what was the stain from so that I can give them the information they wanted to clean it, Customer Support never replied. Instead they prefered to charge for a coat they did not clean.

Regrettably, they wouldn't provide a clear reply or a refund. As I said to their Support person, it is not a matter of refunding the £10 for the coat, my orders were more than £60 or £80 every time, it is a matter of great customer service - the least they could have offered is to take the coat back and clean it for free. Their prices are above those of their competitors and I assumed that was because they offer premium service both in terms of cleaning expensive items and customer attendance.

Very disappointed and regrettably will not use them again.

Sample of the trasncript with Support below:

[10:27] Customer Support: As you can imagine there’s almost infinite amount of how stains can appear. We do not treat the stain until we know roughly what it is. If we apply a false stain remover then the item will get damaged and then we will made responsible for damages.
[10:28] Maria: I appreciate that you owe to be extra careful with your customers' clothes. that is the reason I chose your company for my clothes which are delicate and expensive. Would you think of emailing your esteemed customers and ask them information on a stain that you saw but your customer wouldnt?
[10:28] Maria: I would be happy to give you information on the stain if you asked me / sent me a message with the picture. I am not happy to receive clothes that are not cleaned
[10:32] Customer Support: Once items arrive they are checked for any damages and then sent to cleaning process. The only time an item is specifically checked is for 1. Being notified for a stain removal service. 2. Repairs and alterations service.
[10:33] Maria: so you are telling me it is up to the customer to check clothes for any stains and notify you, else you wont clean stains
[10:37] Customer Support: That is correct. Notifying us will only help us. We can help you if you help us.
If you have any stains on the item(s) please specify in the notes section of the order
1) What the stain is?
2) How long has it been there?
[10:39] Customer Support: If we know what we are dealing with then we apply the right stain remover. Or we will be taking a guess and that could lead to damages.
[10:41] Maria: that covers my question, I appreciate that you do not operate the service I thought you did. I thought that the more expensive prices compared to other dry cleaners and the word "luxury" in your brand name meant that you provide a premium service. Unfortunately, as you can see from my past orders, I send many clothes at once that need expertise and care that you cannot provide me.

Reply from Express Laundry

Thank you for leaving your review Maria.

Our customer support team made it clear to you that we can help you in removing the stain if you helped us by informing us. Stated in the chat script 10:39am - we do not take any guesses on what a stain is, as that could lead to damages.
WHICH BY LAW is our duty to provide a level of care & the best service we can without being irresponsible to your clothing.

If we did treat your stain without any knowledge of what it is and if that led to it being damaged then we will be claimed irresponsible and unprofessional by us for providing a terrible service.

That is why a customer MUST inform of us of any stain. If you don't inform us how would we know?
On our website it states - WE MUST BE INFORMED
1. what the stain is.
2. How long it has been there.

These two key components are need to help us apply the best solution for you clothing.

"Regrettably, they wouldn't provide a clear reply"
Our support team made it very clear why the stain was still there. We can only help you if you simply help us by informing us what it is.

We feel the review to be very disheartening by the level we have provided to you on 5 different occasions. And the order notes we followed on previous orders as that helped us provide a good service as you requested.
We are now being scolded over one small issue that was not informed to us about. We can only process a refund if we simply did not clean or damaged an item. Your item was Dry Cleaned and Ironed.

We can offer to clean the coat at 50%off the cost of cleaning it and with a further 15% of total bill of the order. (£20 minimum order value applies)

Thank you.
